Ultrasound clinic
Ultrasound examinations of organs, vessels, the thyroid gland, breasts, and soft tissues.

Basic information
Ultrasonography (USG) is a modern non-invasive imaging method using ultrasound waves without any radiation, and therefore it does not burden the body.
Thanks to its wide range of uses, high safety, and the possibility of repeated examinations, it belongs among the most important diagnostic methods of today.
Ultrasound examination is suitable for adults and children and allows fast, accurate, and comfortable assessment of the condition of various organs and tissues.

How to prepare for an ultrasound examination
Examination of the abdomen and abdominal cavity (including the aorta and renal arteries)
The day before the examination:
- do not eat legumes, dairy products, or fresh bread
- eat easily digestible foods (poultry, rice, soups)
- do not drink carbonated beverages
- for flatulence, we recommend medication to reduce bloating
On the day of the examination (morning):
- do not eat or drink
- do not chew gum
- do not smoke
- take regular medication with a small amount of still water
- children under 3 years of age may eat 3 hours before the examination
This preparation is also important for examination of the abdominal aorta and renal arteries so that the image quality is as good as possible.
Examination of the kidneys and urinary bladder
- 1 to 2 hours before the examination, drink at least 0.5 l of still water or tea
- the examination requires a sufficiently full urinary bladder
Examinations that do not require preparation
- breasts
- neck and thyroid gland
- lymph nodes
- soft tissues (muscles, tendons, subcutaneous tissue)
- doppler examination of limb vessels
- carotid arteries
